Yes!  Almost all modern computers (and even older ones) will run the content.  Videos are low bandwidth and optimized so they can be loaded quickly and play smooth.  Please note however that depending on the health of your computer and speed of your Internet service, your experience may vary.

Your computer must have a broadband Internet connection and a supported version of an Internet browser such as Chrome, Edge or Firefox.

This site will work great on tablets and mobile phones as well.  While the videos will be smaller, there’s absolutely no reason why you can’t use a mobile device and practice wherever you have an Internet connection.

The main principle in Qigong is to only practice within your own limits.  The idea is to be as gentle as possible. Qigong is a subtle practice and should be performed slowly, with relaxation of the body and mind.

You should consult your doctor before beginning Qigong training. Qigong is low impact but your doctor should be consulted to ensure it’s right for you.  If have any specific injuries, such as spinal injuries or lower body injuries, the doctor may recommend something modified, like seated Qigong.

Qigong movements are done slowly, and are natural body movements.  The movements should never cause pain.  If you feel discomfort, it is advisable to STOP practicing and consult your doctor to determine the root of discomfort.  Alternatively, if your breathing is fine, then you can simply relax and breathe. But please seek medical advice if you have any doubts.

Qigong itself is low impact and gentle – but it must be practiced in that way. Take it easy and slow!

Qigong can be practiced anytime, however, there are specific times when you should not practice:

  • When you are in the middle of a cold or flu, or other more serious illnesses such as bronchitis, pneumonia, etc.
  • You should not practice right after eating – wait for your body to digest the food, approximately 1 hour after eating.
  • You should not practice right after drinking liquids – again wait for the fluids to move through your system, approximately 20 minutes.
  • You should not practice after using alcohol or hard drugs, as unintended results could occur.
