In our years of teaching Qigong and Tai Chi, we found a majority of people have had difficulting finding ongoing local classes in their area. Often studios would close down, teachers would move, etc, leaving the students with a desire to learn feeling empty.
When closed my studio one summer to travel, I found many disappointed students. I thought that having an online training facility for them would not only solve the short term problem, but allow others all over to train whenever they wanted and not be dependent on the studio hours.
However, from my experience and other students feedback, straight instructional videos are only good to a certain extent. It's somewhat against Qigong principles to be staring at a bright electronic TV screen while trying to "clear the mind" and practice Qigong. We know many people who have purchased DVDs in excitement, only to find they are hidden in a drawer somewhere.
From this, our revolutionary training method was developed. Our model is to:
- • Provide the outline for what needs to learned to progress
- • Provide short, easy to follow instruction that can be practiced immediately offline without looking at a TV
- • Provide the supporting materials, including printable outlines and full length videos if desired
- • Help the student track their progress as to develop in an efficient way
- • A reminder system that will let you know when you have been to busy and guide you back to a simple lesson to stay on track.
In this way, students are actually able to progress faster than in most situations, not only because they can practice and get instruction as much as they want, but their instructions is very simple, clear, and easy to apply.
Will my computer work for online training?The site is developed to run on any standard computer, even low end computers with low-end broadband Internet service. The videos are optimized so they can be loaded quickly and play smooth, however, depending on the health of your computer and speed of your Internet service, your experience may vary.

Your computer must have a function sound card device to hear the audio. Also, speakers, headphones or some other audio output device is necessary to hear the audio. If you can hear audio from the web, such as YouTube, then you should be able to hear the audio on our site as there are no special requirements to hear the sound.
Viruses and spyware can signifigantly slow down a user's Internet connection, resulting in very slow speeds using any Internet site. Having a trainined professional computer support person diagnosis and fix the problem may be your best bet in restoring ther overall functioning of your computer.
